Bloomingdale Trail will feature public art in new construction

Plans for the Bloomingdale Trail, also known as The 606, are ambitious, and construction is set to get underway this summer. In addition to a running path, a walkway and biking path, visitors will experience public art along the way. Will the natural surroundings remain intact while the art becomes part of the scenery? Beth White, Chicago director of the Trust for Public Land, and Frances Whitehead, The 606’s lead artist, detail what’s ahead.
