Moon/Venus/Spring objects:

Join us at the Exelon Observatory at the western head of the Bloomingdale Trail (1800 N. Ridgeway), on the First Friday of each month for a night of Celestial viewing with our Resident Astronomer, Joe Guzman.

To start our Astronomical season at the 606 Bloomingdale Trail in March, we will share a 3/4 Moon riding high and displaying great telescopic views of Lunar Mountains, valleys and craters. Incredibly bright Venus hangs in the west, along with the planet Uranus and the Constellation Orion with the Red Giant Variable Star “Betelgeuse” is prominent in the South. (Betelgeuse is currently in the news, undergoing drastic changes that may lead to an event…or not.)

NOTE: In case of inclement weather, this event will be rescheduled for Friday, the 13th of March – 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
