Tavern Talk—More than Just a Walk in the Park: Parks as Living Labs

Talk

For our January event, we’re asking the question:

Q.: When is a park more than just a pretty place?

A.: When the park doubles as a living laboratory for researchers and citizen scientists. At this Tavern Talk, we’ll hear from program partners who used The 606 park and trail system this past year to investigate urban wildlife use patterns, park design and astronomy, and seasonal changes in flowering trees .

The evening’s speakers include:

  • Liza Lehrer, Urban Wildlife Institute, Lincoln Park Zoo
  • Michelle Nichols, Adler Planetarium
  • Jean Linsner, The Trust for Public Land

Delicious pub food and beverages will be available.

Generous supporters like you help make our free programming possible. Please help The 606 grow—give to The Trust for Public Land today. The606.org/donate
