Make The Bloomingdale Trail—the heart of The 606—glow with light you wear or carry: an LED candle, flashlights, or a string of lights you fasten to your jacket, stroller, or dog leash. (No open flames, please.)

2:00 – 4:00
Quilombo Cultural Center, 1757 North Kimball

If you need help getting decked out for the walk, join us for an indoor lantern and drum making workshop right next to where we’ll step off for the walk.

4:30
Bloomingdale Trail at Spaulding Avenue

Join a community-led walk from Spaulding to Churchill on the Bloomingdale Trail with our friends from West Town Bikes, Quilombo Cultural Center and Opera-Matic.

4:30 – 5:30
The Bloomingdale Trail

Wear your lights and use the Bloomingdale Trail to make your way from wherever you are to Churchill Field Park. Along the way, you may encounter moments of delight from Cabinet of Curiosities and others.

5:00 – 7:00 pm
Churchill Field Park
Enjoy illuminated games and entertainment. You can also gather around fire pits for s’mores and enjoy hot cocoa, and mini donuts.

Warm someone’s winter.
Help everyone stay active on the Bloomingdale Trail all winter
long. Bring new and gently used hats and scarves to donate at the Spaulding kickoff, Churchill Field, or December 1-15 at Earth Rider bicycle shop, 1873 North Milwaukee.
